WHO IS RONAN KLEU

Hi, my name is Ronan Kleu and I am a professional golfer from Golf & Country Club Zürich-Zumikon. I am also currently finishing up my Masters degree in Business Analytics at the University of Iowa in the USA. In my recent semester, I was honoured with the Robert F. Ray Faculty Award, awarded to one graduating student athlete showing both athletic and academic excellence. In the same semester, I received the BIG Ten Sportsmanship award.

At 2 years old I picked up a plastic golf club and ball, took a swing, and have not stopped since. I have been a member of the Swiss National Elite squad for the last years and attended two colleges in the United States to develop my skill.

In my first half-season as a professional, I successfully conquered the first and second stages of DP World Tour Qualifying School before making the cut at the Final Stage to ensure my Challenge Tour Card for 2024.  My largest amateur success came at the prestigious 2023 Amateur Championship, where I was awarded the Silver medal. I have won a number of tournaments in Switzerland, most notably the Swiss International Championship in 2020, the Swiss National Championship in 2019. I also played an integral role in the Swiss U18 team which won Silver at the European Boys Team Championships in the Czech Republic in May 2018, and was part of the Swiss Amateur Team which won bronze at the European Team Championships in 2020 and Gold at the European Team Championships Division II 2019. Throughout my collegiate career, which extended from 2018-2021 at Columbus State University and 2021-2023 at the University of Iowa, I was distinguished numerous times, winning Conference Player of the Year, Student-Athlete of the Year, Athletic and Academic All-American and All-Conference Awards.

MY VISION

My vision is to become a successful golf professional on the PGA and European Tour and the first Swiss player to win the Masters.

On my way to achieving my vision I want to uphold the standards of a hard-working athlete in each facet of the profession. I shall treat each of my events as a learning experience, an incentive to practise harder and a blessing.

I wish to thank everyone who is contributing in one way or another to helping me along the way.
