I write this after a busy summer on the road, enjoying some success along the way. After a short break in July, I played a block of three events in a row, followed by one week off and then four in a row to end the regular season on the Hotelplanner Tour. The motto was simple – keep sticking to what I had been working on; the breakthrough week would come. This is what I had discussed with my coach. After making changes to my driving at the beginning of the year and then to my putting in the middle of the season, I was finally feeling like my game had come together and that I could compete each week.

I made the cut in Germany and in Scotland and had two solid weeks but didn’t contend for the top spots. The points system in professional golf doesn’t always reward consistency, so without becoming impatient, I knew I needed to have a top finish; otherwise, my season would be concluding earlier than I had planned. I commenced the Irish Challenge on the pristine Killeen Castle Golf Course with a bogey–eagle start and signed for a stellar three-under 69 to put myself in the mix after the first round. Being the longest course in Ireland and with windy conditions, we knew that it wasn’t going to be a low-scoring week. I knew I could take advantage of my good long game that week and made it into the weekend comfortably. The pressure then began to rise as I was aware that this week could change my season, and I was playing in the penultimate and ultimate pairings on the weekend. The weekend consisted of great golf, some highs and lows, and multiple changes of the lead before it finally came down to myself and Frenchman Oihan Guillamoundeguy on the last hole. He was out of position by the green, and I played aggressively to give myself a chance at a playoff but had to settle for solo second at the end of the day. The finish propelled me up the rankings and gave my season a whole new perspective. I knew I had secured my full Hotelplanner Tour card for 2026, and prospects for the post-season in China and the Grand Final in Mallorca were looking better.

I enjoyed two more very solid weeks at the Omega European Masters and the Rosa Challenge in Poland in September to secure my spot for the post-season. The Omega European Masters is always marked as a highlight on the calendar for Swiss players, and being able to compete in front of my home crowd at such a high level brings me great joy and confidence.

In the final two weeks in Portugal and Italy, I narrowly missed the cut, feeling some fatigue, but now I have two weeks to recharge and prepare for the two events in China before, hopefully, the Grand Final in Mallorca.

Thank you for your continued support and confidence in me, and I look forward to ending the year on a strong note!

Ronan
